Directions from Auckland

From Auckland International Airport follow signs to Auckland and then to the Northern Motorway (signposted Whangarei). This will take you over the spectacular Auckland Harbour Bridge. Stay on the motorway until it ends at Puhoi, c.40 kms north of Auckland. The last stretch is a toll road for which the toll is payable either online, at the BP services near the Stillwater exit or at the end of the motorway past the tunnels. As an alternative you can leave the motorway at Orewa and take the free but longer way up State Highway 1.

The main road north then becomes State Highway 1, follow it northwards through Warkworth & Wellsford to Whangarei. The road skirts Whangarei to the west and continues north to Kawakawa.

Just before Kawakawa the road divides, turn left into the town, this is the continuation of SH1, (not straight on to Paihia). Continue through Moerewa, then the road divides at Pakaraka, turn right onto State Highway 10, signposted Doubtless Bay. Carry on to a roundabout where the airport is left & Kerikeri is right.

...via Kerikeri town

Turn right at the roundabout & go straight through the town centre of Kerikeri. There is a one way system taking you left, right, right again & left & you are then in 2 way traffic again and MacDonalds will be on your right. After 200 metres go straight on at the roundabout then at the next roundabout go left onto a new bypass signposted ‘Waipapa’. At the next roundabout go right towards Opito Bay & Riverview. Go left at the next roundabout (you are now in Landing Road) and after a straight bit you wind down to a one way bridge.

...via Waipapa

Go straight on at the roundabout (not to the town centre) and carry on to Waipapa. In Waipapa take the right turn to Kerikeri, go straight on at the first roundabout (after c.5 kms) and when you get to the second, turn left into Landing Road. After a straight bit the road winds down to a one way bridge.

...once on Landing Road...

100 metres past the bridge turn left into the driveway with the 5 green postboxes. Follow through to number 180, (up a short hill) you will see the number 180 painted on a rock.
